Ami and Nikki founded doudou to create a heirloom quality blanket for the most joyous occasion, the birth of a new baby.
As co-founders, Ami and Nikki's unique design sense and love for their customers has made doudou the must-have gift for every expecting family.
The doudou blanket is a personalized baby blanket made with 100% certified organic Italian Cotton and knitted in Brooklyn, NYC. The doudou blanket is a lifelong keepsake.
Due to many requests, we have recently introduced a crib sized blanket to our range, which is also large enough to be used as a gorgeous end of the bed throw for a twin sized bed or even a throw over a sofa!

A LITTLE ABOUT US...

Born in The Netherlands and raised in Australia for the majority of her childhood life, Ami now lives in San Francisco with her husband and two gorgeous daughters, Pearl and Sybil. Nikki is currently based in London with her husband and two spirited children Stella and Valentino, but will always consider San Francisco home. The two met at a San Francisco playground, bonded immediately and soon after, doudou was born.

SUSTAINABILITY

The yarn used in doudou blankets is 100% Italian Organic Cotton yarn from our partners in Milan, Italy, and is guaranteed by the certification Global Textile Standard (GOTS).

The blankets are knitted ethically with love by a family-owned small knitting mill in Brooklyn, New York. Doudou blankets by their very nature have an extremely limited impact on environment.  Each blanket is made-to-order, eliminating waste and excess inventory.

COMMUNITY

doudou is committed to making donations every month to organizations that work to directly support mothers, families from underserved communities.
A percentage of our sales at the end of each month will go to the following organizations; Homeless Prenatal Organization & Friends SF Bay Area
